Dr. Xinqiang Han graduated from Henan medical University (now Zhengzhou University) in China and received his internal medical training from the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and the Drexel University College of Medicine.  He went on to receive training in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.  Dr. Han also holds a Ph.D. in pharmacology from the Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada.  He completed a post-doctoral fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at the Calgary University School of Medicine.

Dr. Han has received numerous awards in recognition of his research.  He holds such awards as: Young Investigator Award, American College of Cardiology, Chicago, Minnesota Medical Foundation Faculty Research Award, Lillehei Scholar/Dean’s Faculty Recruit, University of Minnesota Medical School, and two time Outstanding Fellow in Cardiology Special Recognition Award (National Cardiology Fellows Forum of Excellence at AHA, Chicago and Orlando).  His research interests include radiofrequency ablation of complex arrhythmias and Hansen Robotic Navigation in arrhythmia ablations, biventricular pacemaker/ICD implantation for resynchronization therapy and sudden death prevention, and cellular and molecular basis of heart failure and arrhythmias.  He was an assistant professor of Medicine at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and the University of Minnesota.
