He received his masters degree in medicine at FuWai Hospital/Peking Union Medical College in 1990. He was an attending cardiologist from 1990-1994 at the First Teaching Hospital of Beijing Medical University. He emigrated to the U.S. in 1994 and spent six years at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center of Harvard Medical School as a research fellow. Dr. Feng collaborated with the Framingham Heart Study and investigated cardiovascular genetics, haemostatic factors, platelet function and thrombosis.  He finished his internal medicine residency training at the Boston Medical Center, Boston University School of Medicine in 2004 and completed his cardiovascular disease fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic.  He was appointed as an assistant professor at the Mayo Clinic from 2005-2008.  He has been with the Metropolitan Heart and Vascular Institute in Minneapolis since 2008. Dr. Feng is a clinical cardiologist. His professional interests include general cardiology, with particular interest in cardiovascular imaging: echocardiography, cardiac MRI and cardiac CT. Dr. Feng is the director of the cardiac MRI program at the Metropolitan Heart and Vascular Institute.
