1. CnAHA-ASE China Night in Montreal, Canada
The inaugural China Night occurred during ASE (American Society of Echocardiography) scientific sessions on June 12, 2011 in Montreal, Canada. This event is co-organized by CnAHA and ASE. Over 100 cardiovascular ultrasound specialists from CnAHA, ASE, US, China and Canada, etc, came to the event. ASE President Dr. James Thomas. MD, and CnAHA President Dr Shuping, MD gave welcome speeches. Keynote speech “Echo in China” was given by Dr. Yun Zhang, MD, PhD, Academician and Vice President of Shandong University, PRC. Among other participants were ASE leaders (Drs. Randy Martin (ex-president), Roberto Lang (ex-president), Linda Gilliam (ex-president), Michael Picard (ex-president), Wyman Lai (Pediatric Council Chair, CnAHA member), Feng Xie (ASE China Liaison, CnAHA member)…), CnAHA leaders (Cynthia Taub, Grace Palma…) and Chinese Ultrasound leaders, Drs. Tiangang Zhu, Mingxing Xie, Youbing Deng, and many our members, colleagues and guests.
