On Mar 25, 2012 Chinese American Heart Association held "China Night" during ACC in Chicago. About eighty people attended the network event. Professor Dayi Hu, the president of the Chinese Society of Cardiology gave a keynote speech on the "Love-Heart Project", a charitable volunteer project for Chinese children and young adult with congenital heart disease. Dr. Sidney Smith, the president of World Heart Federation (WHF), gave a brief introduction on the initiatives by WHF for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases in the third world countries in collaboration with WHO and UN. The highlight of the evening was the history review of Dr. Tsung O. Cheng's contribution to Chinese cardiovascular medicine as well as other US-China cardiologists and CV surgeons visiting history by our CNAHA secretary Peng Yan. It was a great learning and inspiring experience for all attendees. Long Hua, the editor from China Medical Tribune attended our China Night and paid 3,741 people's dollars for the royalties of our CNAHA writers for our CNAHA column of CMT. After China Night, CNAHA board had a meeting for 50 minutes. Among many things discussed was Tiantian L’s DXY.com. Many thanks to Dali Fan and Jianming Li who secured funding for this "China Night" as well as Grace Palma for part of organization.
