|On Mar 25, 2012 we had a wonderful and successeful "China Night" Event during the ACC in Chicago. There were 79 people attended. Professor Dayi Hu, the president of the Chinese Society of Cardiology gave a keynote speech on the "Love-Heart Project", a charitable volunteer project for Chinese children and young adult with congenital heart disease. Dr. Sidney Smith, the president of World Heart Federation (WHF), gave a brief introduction on the initiatives by WHF for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases in the third world countries in collaboration with WHO and UN. The highlight of the evening was the history review of Dr. Tsung O. Cheng's contribution to Chinese cardiovascular medicine as well as other US-China cardiologists and CV surgeons visiting history by our CNAHA secretary Peng Yan. It was quite a learning and inspiring experience for all attendees.
Before the "China Night" Event, CNAHA board members had face-to-face meeting, please see attached picture. Tiantian Li, showed up at the beginning of the board meeting and we discussed with him about DXY.com. Also Long Hua, the editor from
China Medical Tribune attended our China Night and handed me an envelop which had 3741 people's dollars for the royalties of our CNAHA writers for our CNAHA column of CMT. We had second board meeting right after China Night for another 50 minutes. I also should thank Dali Fan and Jianming Li for secured funding for this "China Night" as well as Grace Palma for part of organization.
Any attendee had a great time. We sincerely thank Qiong Zhao, Lei Zhao, Jianming and Peng for their great organization as well as their hard work.
Many thanks for everyone for coming as well as your support.
