Dr. Gong-Yuan Xie is a Professor of Clinical Medicine, the Director of Echocardiography Laboratory and Co-Director of Cardiac Imaging Center in Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at University of Missouri.
Dr. Xie graduated from Shanghai 2nd Medical College in 1971 and received his Masters Degree in Cardiovascular Medicine there in 1981. From 1987 to 1993, he did a Research and Clinical Fellowship in the Division of Cardiology at University of Kentucky in the US. Then Dr. Xie stayed on as faculty there, from rank of Assistant Professor, then Associate Professor, and finallyFull professor. In 2007, he moved to the University of Missouri and holds his current position there. Dr. Xie is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Adult Comprehensive Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.
Dr. Xie was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) in 1995. Currently he serves as invited reviewer for the Journal of American College of Cardiology (JACC), American Heart Journal (AHJ), American Journal of Cardiology (AJC) and Journal of American Society of Echocardiography (JASE).
Dr. Xie’s clinical interests includes cardiac imaging, especially multimodality approaches and valvular heart disease.
His research areas include myocardial mechanics assessed by speckle imaging and a valvular heart disease database.

谢医生1971年毕业于原上海第二医学院,1981获得心内科硕士学位。1987-1993年在美国肯塔基大学心脏科从事实验室和临床研究,之后,谢医生在此任职,先后担任助理教授和副教授,最终成为终身教授。2007年,他转到密苏里州大学并担任前言中所列职务。谢医生持有内科医生、心血管疾病、成人综合超声心动图、心脏核医学以及心血管计算机断层显像(CT)等执照。
谢医生1995年被评选为美国心脏病学院院士(FACC)。目前,他是《the Journal of American College of Cardiology》(JACC)、《American Heart Journal》(AHJ)、《American Journal of Cardiology》(AJC)及《and Journal of American Society of Echocardiography》(JASE)等杂志的特约评议人。
