I'm contacting you because my company has been retained to recruit Vascular Biology experts for a client called Pervasis Therapeutics (Cambridge, MA). You may be familiar with the technology, but if not, it comes out of Bob Langer's lab at M.I.T. and its purpose is to treat unmet needs in cardiovascular disease. They have a product currently in human clinical trials. This lead product, Vascugel, reverses acute vascular injury in a number of settings, including vascular failure and peripheral bypass failure. The initial indication is for AV access in hemodialysis patients. At present, Vascugel is delivered through an implantable sponge in an open procedure. We are searching for Vascular Biology experts who can help them develop an injectable, minimally invasive delivery platform. The most critical need is for a Director (Associate Director) level candidate, but we are also considering people at the Scientist/ Sr. Scientist level. The Director candidate will be responsible for managing projects from concept through to human clinical trials and interacting with physicians to contribute to the development of next generation products. This person is also responsible for the design, development, execution, and interpretation of preclinical studies to include writing protocols, establishing animal models, directing studies, analyzing data, and writing final reports and literature papers. The Director will be responsible for writing and reviewing technical reports, White papers, grants, and journal articles. From a regulatory perspective, this candidate must be capable of contributing to IND submissions and patent filings..
